The browser receives keyboard events locally. The network is not needed to check every note.

Do I need a special keyboard?
Any MIDI keyboard or synthesizer with a MIDI connection should work, provided the browser and device support Web MIDI.
Can I practise without hardware?
Yes. The editor and trainer include a virtual keyboard for use without a connected instrument.
Why does the browser ask for permission?
Web MIDI requires explicit permission to access devices. NotePolice does not send the raw note event to a server for each check.
How do I practise one hand?
The trainer can hide either staff. Device command keys can also switch the active part.
